View project description
This project involves the refurbishment and restoration of the 18th Century first floor library and the basement book stores at the Society of Antiquaries which is located in the West wing of Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.
Understanding the collection:
The society’s collection is unique for its variety, range and quality; comprising more than 100,000 books, 5,000 archaeological drawings and around 20,000 topographical drawings and prints. Understanding this collection, how it needs to be housed and how its contents can be made more accessible to readers, has been central to our approach.
