View project description
Competition for Exeter College Oxford; comprising of 100 residential units, social spaces, Fellow’s accommodation and teaching rooms.
The building is a reinterpretation of the collegiate form with three principal spaces: the Front Quad, Cloister, and Ivy Quad. The building is arranged around a simple garden and pond that extends along the southern edge of a cloister. The mature oaks now delicately filter light onto the pond below, while the canopy frames views of the city and its many dreaming spires.
Social spaces are concentrated around a rooftop café to enjoy fantastic views, air and light.
