Somerset House on the Strand in London was designed by Sir William Chambers and was built between 1768 and 1801. The Somerset House Trust commissioned a feasibility to look at the possible future uses within the masterplan. Much of the Grade 1 listed buildings pose access problems due to the change in levels and dramatic section that drops several storeys down to the former river level.
